Scott Wells, Assistant Revisor provided an overview on HB2384 and correcting provisions to tax non-profit gym memberships. (Attachment 1) (Attachment 2)

Kathleen Smith, Department of Revenue provided an overview on the fiscal note for HB2384 noting an estimated increase in the state tax collections by $25.7 million and $51.8 million in FY's 2018 and 2019, respectively.   

Proponents:

Representative Daniel Hawkins, 100th District testified as a proponent to HB2384 noting expanding the sales tax base could raise $51.8 million and a step in the right direction toward a structured tax code.  (Attachment 3)
